Mission
The Young Women's League of New Canaan is a group of dedicated women who are committed to enriching the community through volunteer service and fundraising efforts. The League's mission is threefold:
- To organize opportunities for Members to serve various charitable organizations;
- To fundraise for the purpose of distributing grants; and
- To promote the social, cultural, and educational interests of our Members.

Membership in the Young Women's League is open to all women regardless
of race, religion, age
or creed. Members of the League enjoy a diverse array of rewarding and
enjoyable activities:
- Prospective Member Coffees, where current Board Members present an overview of the League's offerings. The League welcomes new Members in September and January. All informational coffees are held at the home of the New Member Chairperson.
- Monthly General Meetings, beginning with a September kick-off dinner meeting and concluding with a thank-you dinner in May. Monthly meetings begin with an opportunity to socialize, meet new friends and explore volunteer opportunities over light food fare. Guest speakers are invited to meetings throughout the year to discuss topics of interest to Members. April brings the annual Fashion Show.
- Social Events give Members a chance to connect and have fun. Ladies' Night Out and a Winter Social are integral events on the YWL calendar.
- Volunteer Opportunities offer every Member the rewarding experience of giving back to her community. A comprehensive list of these is available in our Community Concern area.
Active Members must earn at least six participation credits and attend a minimum of four general meetings each year.

The Young Women's League welcomes New Members in September and January. At these times, the League holds informational coffees at the New Member Chairperson's home, where prospective Members can meet current Members and Officers of the League. Membership is open to all women regardless of race, religion, age or creed.
Annual dues are $95.00. Members must earn at least six participation credits and attend a minimum of four general meetings.
